There’s plenty to do on your visit to Apedale. At weekends and Bank Holidays we offer tours of an authentic drift mine, and you can visit our museum to learn about the local industries and history. Our café is open daily* serving hot food and cold snacks.
We are Open Daily 10:30am to 4pm, the Mine & Museum Open Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays Only
Mine Tours cost £5 for Children/OAPs, £7 for Adults. We offer a special rate for families £20 for 2 adults and 2 children. Entry to the museum is free
Ride the Apedale Valley Light Railway which is operated by our colleagues from the Moseley Railway Trust. The railway operates throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn. During the winter the railway takes a well earned break although there is a Santa Special Service each year. During the operating season, trains are run weekly on Saturdays with a monthly steam weekend. Each year they have a special gala weekend and run other events throughout their season.
The Apedale Community Country Park is right on our doorstep for you to explore, offering wildlife, fresh air and great views of the area.
